The aftershock of my birthday hit us last night, as several of my birthday-money purchases arrived in the mail. Of relevance to the title of this here blog entry, the three board games I ordered from funagain.com showed up, and we played them all. Each one is splendid, and they are all very unique: Lost Cities, Samurai and Torres.
I’d describe them in more detail, but those links are good, and I have to leave.
Bye!

OK, Recommend your favorite board games here in the comments.
When we were on vacation last week, we randomly bought Carcassonne, which turned out to be a famously awesome game.
Inspired by this brief foray into the world of games I never heard of, I ordered two more that come highly regarded: San Juan and Ticket to Ride.
I’m looking specifically for games that are particularly good for 2 people, but you can mention anything you want. I’ll report on the quality of these ones that I ordered, once I see what they’re like.
I thought I’d mention that I picked up the Xbox version of this game last weekend:
It’s pretty great, and you can play it around little kids. Huzzah!
The best parts are the story cutscenes that “reimagine” key scenes from the movies using Legos. They are a hoot.
Oh, and there’s a PC demo available.
