Here’s my remix from Future Boy’s Strange Little World EP.

The original recording kind of reminds me of Todd Rundgren A Wizard/A True Star era, or Klaatu Hope (obscure reference…sorry). Great lyrics and vocals.

The remix sounds like an intergalactic translation for a dance club far, far away. Love the sort of episodic evolution. Has the usual how-the-hell-did-he-do-that factor, as always. Way fun…thanks.

/me listens intently…

As much as I love Starfinger, I’ll admit to not having clicked on this until I saw the previous commentor bring up Klaatu’s Hope, which is one of my absolute favorite records, having just discovered it last year (2005).

Now, my feedback: This is flipping great. The ambient intro might be a bit long for casual introductions - perhaps it needs a ‘radio edit’ version that runs around 3:00 and gets to the main groove faster?

I can see why re: the Kaatu reference, but I think without comprehensible lyrics, I wouldn’t make the same comparison.

Do you think perhaps if Klaatu had been more photogenic, the reference wouldn’t be so obscure today (http://www.klaatu.org/gallery/samuels/samuels1.jpg)? What does Dr. Kong look like?
